F176HF: This formula was developed specifically for the mid-south to southwest regions and is used on both field and container grown plants. Its high iron content gives plants a lush green color. The high iron, as well as a balanced amount of zinc, copper, and manganese, supply nutrients continually over an 8-10 month period, even though the soils in those areas tend to tie up other forms of these nutrients. The consistent texture of this material lends itself to easy and accurate mixing. If you use a mechanical mixer, add one-half of the material when the mixer is half-full and the rest of the material when the mixer is full. Blending for 10 minutes should result in a homogeneous blend. Soil and tissue analysis should be used to determine the amount of potting mix to add per cubic yard.
